Unity doesn't save scenes?

Hi, I am very new to Unity, but it seems like it won't save any of the changes I make in scenes. All of the assets and everything I created are still there, so it did save the project, but the scene has been changed back into the default when you first open it, with a camera and a light source. All of my gameobjects are gone.
Is there like, an extra step to saving, or do I need to do something extra to reopen my scene, or something else? Help.

 

Yes, going to File -> Save

 

I did save, and I know I didn't forget because all the assets are still there. Its just the scene that has been reset.

 

The assets do not need saving, the scene does.

 

Oh shoot, in that case maybe I didn't save. I really thought I did but, I dunno. Thanks man.
