I got myself an Asus ROG Swift G-Sync enabled monitor (with 780ti), only to find out that the standalone player crashes when the highest settings are used, even if there is only one simple cube in the scene.

If I force G-Sync off in the nVidia control panel, it all works fine. Bug report filed.

Anyone else with the same problem?

Did you have red light(Gsync on) when crash happened?

I have same monitor and gcard.

So far the only thing I managed to get working with G-Sync is Outerra, which does show a red light.

Be sure to install the latest drivers, otherwise G-Sync won't work at all.

    Edit:
If G-Sync doesn't work in any game, unplug the Oculus Rift (USB and HDMI) and restart your PC.

The Unity build app crashes shortly after it is started and the red G-Sync light is on.

Gsync is working fine with other games/engines...but for some reason I cant get it working with unity builds.

If I remember right, divinity:eek:riginal sin is made with unity..and Gsync seems to be working with it.
hmmm...Tested my game in webplayer(fullscreen) and Gsync was working...Dont know whats wrong with standalone.

All my Unity builds crash when using G-Sync. But it isn't the only one. Portal 2 crashes as well. I hope Unity fixes this soon.

It uses an in-house engine actually, referred to as the Divinity Engine.

I am pretty sure it is a bug as it is 100% reproducible. I submitted a bug report already but it hasn't ended up online yet.

Hi, I've put in a request with IT to order a G-Sync enabled monitor to fix this. They are usually quick at getting hardware for us so we can investigate.

I hope they can find one. That Asus monitor is pretty rare. I had to travel to Hong Kong to get one...

It seems to be available here, though I never saw one in the wild.

Using the latest nVidia drivers, it doesn't crash now, but this time G-Sync doesn't work on any unity build. All other games work :-(

This thread is a few years old now, but as you can imagine, I came here to due performance/lagging-issues with Unity when G-sync compatible / Freesync is enabled. I almost can't navigate the editor, even if there is nothing in the scene.
Does anyone else have that problem?

Agreed, Unity is awful to use with G-Sync on. Its beyond awful, lots of flickering etc.

    Have oculus runtime installed.

A bug report case number would help heaps.

I'm getting similar issues. When I check GSync setting in Nvidia Control Panel "Enable for windowed and full screen mode" (and after a restart of Unity) then the mouse pointer lags a lot in the editor, like it's at a very low fps.
