I just got mine in Valencia, Spain. I was suscribed from the beginning, so I got it with some delay. I guess it is usual at over-sea shipping but I just wanted to note it.

Anyway good job, I like it very much.

Ok, I messaged you three to confirm addresses -- I can confirm that labels were printed and that those three were all on sheets where I know that other issues arrived (so it isn't like there is a sheet of labels that just never went on).

If anybody else didn't receive theirs yet, PM me -- I'll confirm the address, correct any errors and figure out how to get another copy out to you ASAP.

They are shipping every two months... we are calling issue one "August / September" since they ended up shipping late. So the goal is to ship them early enough for issue two to arrive to Europe by October 1st.

    AWESOME-

Thanks for the speedy reply! I appreciate having a PDF besides the paper copy for searching, so kudos for publishing in both fashions!

I wish you great success as a publisher (maybe a monthly someday!? -greedy, I know...)

    Best-
    Chuck

So, I ordered my subscription last Saturday (yes, I realize that that's a weekend  ), but have not yet received it (including in today's mail.) I live close, in Ohio, by the way; I don't know if this is an expected amount of time... If you think it should have been here, I'll PM you with my info if you'd want to check on it. Otherwise, just tell me to quit being impatient. :) That is unless the website was mistaken and I actually missed the Issue #1 cut-off point. Also, would it be possible to get a hold of a PDF version?

I am looking forward to getting my hands on this, it looks great! :) Thanks!

This last weekend we had 75 subscriptions and ran out of plastic sleeves. They were overnighted over the weekend, and everything wasn't sent out until Tuesday.

PM or email your request for the PDF (there were several orders from Ohio)

I know that in the letter from the editor, I ask for feedback in terms of direction as a whole -- what you would like to see more of, etc. -- but I would also like to have a "letters to the editor" section with feedback on specific content. Questions and thoughts about things that are in the magazine. I haven't gotten a lot of that, probably because in issue one there was no "letters to the editor" to set the precedent. If you are a reader and have thoughts/questions about any content, it would be really nice to hear from you. Please PM or email me.

Doc - Yours was re-sent on August 27th after reconfirming the address. It is the second issue that I know was sent to that address and I've received confirmations from people whose issues were shipped a few days after that. Even if we assume that the first issue was just lost in the mail, the second issue really should be there by now.

I'm really not sure what has happened with those magazines. I'm certain that you sent them out and I feel bad for not receiving them - I know it's a nuisance to have a customer claiming non delivery.

I've asked downstairs with the girl that handles the mail here and she says she hasn't seen it come through. She always alerts me when I have other mail. Maybe I should request it gets sent to my home address in future instead. I'll give issue one another couple of weeks to arrive here though.

Aha - it arrived today! It looks fantastic, and I was showing it off to a co-worker whom is interested in Unity too.

I'm glad that I held out on reading it. :)

    Thanks Charles!

Just thinking about Unity magazine more, as I've been reading my issue all week. Is there any sort of formal process for making suggestions and giving feedback? I have some ideas for the magazine, but I don't want to put it in the wrong place.

With letters to the editor it is a little tricky. EDGE magazine is probably a good example of how it could work, in that most of the letters stand on their own without a response from the magazine... like mini editorials of sorts, but slightly more casual.

We included some coverage of UA 2008 entries, so that delayed things a little, but it is at the printers as of last week.

Is it just me or is the cover image of the second issue upside down? Maybe it was intentional don't know.... just thought I'd ask... maybe Charles can answer this.

"tracers" in traces of illumination can drive on the wall and ceilings. since it is one of the cooler features -- and it makes you wonder this very question -- it seemed appropriate.

    cheers from copenhagen
