Bug Unity deselects my selection when I orbit the scene view

I'm experiencing a very frustrating issue where when I have a selection and I orbit the scene view by holding the ALT key and left-clicking with the mouse, Unity deselects my selection.

Here is a video illustrating the issue. I select the cube by left-clicking on it. I then hold the ALT key, then left-click with the mouse to orbit. When I try again and move the mouse over a certain speed when I left-click, it deselects the cube.

It happens in Unity 2022.2.3f1 and 2021.3.4f1 but not in 2021.3.10f1. I don't recall specifically when it started. It's not project specific. Some other people in the office are also experiencing this issue. On faster computers it only happens when the computer is under heavy load.

For some context, I have been using Unity professionally for years.

 

Would like to +1 on this. Incredible irritating and didn't have this issues in previous versions

 

Yep, same issue here in 2022.2.3f1. Incredibly frustrating stuff, but quite difficult to reproduce reliably.

 

I have submitted a bug report. I'll keep this thread updated with the outcome.

Same here. Windows 11, Latest Unity 2022.2.12f1. Same issue in the last few versions of Unity. Hope in 13f1 it will be fixed. Annoying as hell!

 

Windows 10, same issue, very frustrating.
