Unity Crashed!!Got a UNKNOWN while executing native code

    Hi,
    I was trying to make multiplayer game when I came across this "bug", maybe it's my computer but I don't know, it never happened to me before. Anyway I fired up unity hub, created a new project and from the template I chose 3D URP Core. Then as usual it started to load stuffs and after few minutes of loading it crashed. I tried again with 3D HDRP Core but it crashed again. The version of unity that I was using when the crash happened initially was Unity 2021.1.24f1. After few days fiddling with the issue, I upgrade the editor to 2021.3LTS thinking that it might solve the issue but it didn't. Kept creating new projects, reinstalling editor, deleting data files but nothing worked. The log says "Got a UNKNOWN while executing native code. This usually indicates a fatal error in the mono runtime or one of the native libraries used by your application". If anyone knows how to fix this, please let me know

    Btw 2D URP works fine but 3D URP and 3D HDRP are still not working and I'm not getting any support from the unity team or the community:(

    That's sad bro....makes me feel like we should switch to unreal engine....

    I have the same problem.
    New Project -> 3D Sample Scene (URP) -> Close project
    Open Project -> crash

    I am new to Unity, and cannot get started...

    Log:
    "Got a UNKNOWN while executing native code. This usually indicates
    a fatal error in the mono runtime or one of the native libraries
    used by your application."

    unity crashes when installing URP or HDRP and when opening projects that have HDRP or URP installed

    Nah mate, it is not related to this but I reinstalled windows and unity few days back, it kinda works now so....I guess it's solved for now.

    Correction, it's not working, when I upgraded the project from Unity 2020.3 LTS it worked but when I created a new project it still crashed

    Idk bruh, at least it works for me when upgrading an old project or opening third person template loaded with URP. Maybe try reinstalling Windows, switch to Linux or something like that coz unity technical support.exe stopped working.....

    Do you happen to have the latest windows 11 build?
    Started happening to me on build 25163, now updated to build 25169 and still happening...

    Same issue here. I finally got the month off of work to finish up a project, and cannot even open a blank project. In ANY version of the Editor. Already deleted all Unity instances and Unity Hub and started fresh. I guess time to learn Unreal or Panda3D?

    Can you attach a crash dump (.dmp) file for your original issue? I might be able to tell what's going on.

    That looks like a completely different issue. You'll have to report a bug on it. Although you are on a fairly old Unity version so I'd suggest updating to 2020.3.41f1 first.

    Getting the exact same issue with 2021.3.13f1 on macOS Ventura 13.0
    It does not seem to be related to any of the code. The same project opens and runs Ok on Windows... something with mono on macos

    The original issue was a bug in Windows 11 Insider builds. It got fixed in build 25174 and is thus completely resolved.

    If you are running into issues and you're not on that specific buggy Windows insider build - you're running into a different issue.
