[Solved] Unity Collab BLANK WINDOW 2020

I was working with my friend in a project and suddenly, the collab's window stopped working! I just get a blank window. The icon shows I have changes to send, but nothing works. I don't have anymore the toggle button to enable or disable Unity Collaborate and sometimes if I right click on reload I receive a red error telling me that I am unable to connect to cloud service. I already tried deleting the appdata "Packages" folder, deleting the 4 files inside cache, tryied to reset computer, internet, re-loging into my Unity's account and nothing works!

 

The Unity Version is 2019.4.10f1(LTS). When the bug started to happen I had two Unity projects open. But just this one was using Unity Collaborate. The other project is just a server, and both were woking on same version (2019.4.10f1).

 

I am completely stuck to Collab, since the toggle button is not visible anymore! PLS HELP ME

With how bad collab was I always figured it was half-assed in-house work. This is the first time I've come to learn it relies on 3rd party. Curious what service that might be -_o

PS.
For some it may help temporarily if you only need to grab commits and not actually MAKE them in the meantime to get some work done.

Any alternate recommended version control like unity collab that can handle large amount of data ex. 25-50gb per project?

 

Plastic SCM is often the called up 'go-to alternitive'

I'd however research and test this within the scope of your project and/or team dynamic, as solutions like this aren't always straight up drag and drop. esepcially if you need to onboard others too.

 

My guess would be AWS ?

 

Not a good idea, if you have conflict you can't solve them. I wasn't able to work all day long because of this :/

our team is stuck trying to update the packs for the asset store sales.

Im in 2019.3.13f1 and i been trying to push all morning with the same issue

I have 3 project using cloud collaborate and all of them don't work since today

Thanks Ollie. So, if we decide to upgrade to 2020.1 for our project, what surprises are we in for? We are currently using 2019.3.13f1

 

I wish there was another hack like that to push

 

Let's hope you find a solution that doesn't require a Unity editor update as this will cause us no end or flow-on effect issues for a couple of projects (like those still on 2018.4).

It it requires an editor patch please consider a collaborate-only patch for 2018.4, 2019.x.

I'm also having this issue on 2019.4 LTS.

2020.1 not affected? I thought the LTS releases were supposed to be more stable/reliable?

I use Gitkraken for version control and Collaborate for an offsite backup- guess I'll just be zipping and archiving the project folder locally until this is resolved.
