Are there Unity Chat Rooms where developers can share ideas, suggestions, answers, etc?

IRC, on unity3d.com/community there is this bit:

    Unity Chat
Some of our users created an IRC channel focused on Unity support and other Unity related discussion. Point your favorite IRC client to irc.freenode.net and join #unity3d to chat in real time.

mIRC, a free IRC Client for Windows
Colloquy, a free IRC Client for Mac
Not sure how active it is, haven't been there in a while.

I am all ways on the IRC #unitychat and #unity3d... It is a wonderful place to hang out... Only bad thing is I am on those IRC chat when I live stream and have had to drag the chat to the main stream window so people can see why I all most fell out of my chair laughing (will not say anything about the catnip addicted cat strippers here, if you where there you know what I am talking about LOL)...

The guys on #unity3d-chat rock. It was my 100% support network when I was freaking out about Greenlight every day.

Someone also donated a kick ass logo to my game. Like beautiful work, completely unsolicited, no strings.

    - Different way of interaction.
    - Often a smaller (and closer) community.
    - Less noise.

The forum is great, but there is so much noise that it can be hard to find and interesting topic or for that matter keep an interesting topic going without it going in some random direction.

Post it in game design. This thread is about chat groups.

There's definitely plenty of noise in the Bar & Grille Skype Group... but it's good noise and a fun group.

@BFGames - you should. It's a fun group. A good mix of game, technical and random casual talk.

Wow! thanks for all the suggestions. I'll definitely check out #unity3d-chat and #unity3d

I hope to find an active group who is familiar with PUN+. It gets boring trying to learn alone.
