Unity beginner tutorial videos not working

The videos in the following address are not working, is this a bug ?

I just checked the videos at the link you provided. All see to be working fine for me.

For me when i click nothing happens, from both my windows 10 pc and android phone.

What OS and browser did you use ?

 

Update:

I had a friend also check and the links of videos were not working as well.

 

I'm on a Mac. For S***s and giggles I tried again. After testing the second video, which both played just fine, I realized I should test on another device. All videos play fine on my Mac laptop also. I tested on Safari and Chrome. I have no explanation as to why they don't work for you.

Yes very strange.

I have tested on laptop and android and gave link to friend and nothing works. Maybe is regional thing based on IP issue, i cant say.

Will try with friends in other countries soon too, but for sure here links are totally dead, videos do not initialize to start.

What country are you in? You can try running Charles Proxy and capture the network traffic to confirm what is going on

 

I have a feeling that all Windows 10laptops just can't do it because the video type is supported on our laptop. This means that Unity needs to step up their game to allow us to use it

 

Also unable to view the video in chrome on windows 10. switched over to MS Edge and it worked.

 

Videos were not working on Chrome on Mac OS. Switched to Safari and it worked.

 

Had the same issue. Suddenly videos just stopped working on Chrome on Windows 10. After switching on Firefox everything is ok.

 

i tried chrome firefox and edge nothing seems to work for me , I still cant start the video

 

They work fine for me. I pay for Unity Learn Premium. Is it possible that the COVID-19 free learning period is messed up for people who don't otherwise have access to many of the videos?

 

Working on Edge, I had a issue with that and then I unistall the adblockers & refresh page, now works fine.
P.S: Just using now only the AdGuard and it works.
P.S 2: Maybe you have to refresh the page many times

 

I had this issue for quite a long time. I tried to switch my anti-virus and adblocker off, but nothing worked. I even tried to access the courses from other browsers, but I still got the error message "The media could not be loaded, either because the server or network failed or because the format is not supported." When I played the videos from my phone, the error messages went away and the videos played.

Give that a try!

 

I'm having this issue too on Google Chrome 83.0.4103.116 (64 Bit). All videos on this course refuse to load. I tried on Firefox and they load and play just fine.

 

I'm having this issue on a Windows 10 XPS in FireFox and Edge. Turned off AdBlockers and anything that might interfere, but no luck.

The very first video played fine once, but the rest will not. The ones that won't play appear to have a gray icon on them and clicking the play button only results in a spinning buffer wheel.

I had the same problem. Win 10. Videos in Chrome, FireFox and Edge didn't work. Just found out they work in Opera browser

Problem is still present.... anyone has a fix? Tried Chrome, Edge on W10, Chrome and Samsung browser on Samsung S9+. Tried the Oculus Quest 2 FireFox browser , same issue.

Most Unity hosted videos are playing, but for example Previously recorded live videos are not playing in Win10 desktop in any browser. But they play on my mac laptop.

 

It happened to me before when I started learning on my PC and now it happened again, Chrome and Edge won't play.
I tried on my Mac laptop and it works with Chrome there.
I'm working on my PC so I can't really keep learning right now..

I had the same problem.
Here is the solution that worked.

-Open Chrome using command prompt in administrator mode.
-Type in the following command.
-"Start chrome --user-data-dir="C:/Chrome dev session" --disable-web-security"

Now try loading the unity learn video from this chrome browser that opens. It should work.

Unity learn page didn't open in Safari. Gave me this message :

Opened up in Chrome but when I try to sign in shows the same.
I think its because I created the unity account in a different country to the one I am trying to log-in from. I tried both with and without VPN. Apparently there is no server issue.
Anyone faced a similar problem ?

Meh, it's a known issue that the majority of the official tutorial projects on 'ere are out of date and don't work anyway.

 

CAN ANY ONE KNOW WHEN IT WILL BE WORKING AGAIN?

 

Probably never, it's unlikely admin will do anything about out of date tutorials that don't work

 

I was able to access it yesterday and then now the page is not loading...
