Oh, I was meaning to ask for opinions on the intro music. Should we keep it or just leave it out?

 

It's alright aside from being somewhat short and kind of having an extreme case of ADD. It just ends a little too abruptly.

It's usable although I could see it working better as an interlude to break up segments.

I voted yes, because I'm interested in all things Unity. But I won't listen when one of the host is a borderline troll.

I wouldn't consider myself a borderline troll, I'd consider beyond one. But I'm disappointed you're not going to watch based on how you view me, unless you're not talking about me. However, I do wish you would check out the podcast.

Any chance of getting the podcast on iTunes? I'd love to be able to listen to this on the run without having to download and put it on my iPhone every time it comes out, its a pain in the ass.

It shouldn't be too hard to put the audio from the podcast on iTunes. I'll try to put the first few episodes up tonight

 

one simple suggestion would be to put time codes into the video so if someone only wants to listen to a few segments they can skip to various timecodes. Total biscuit does it in his series content patch

 

Unfortunately, it seems as though iTunes does not host podcasts and that youtube (even though it has an RSS feed for uploads) does not supply the right format for iTunes to handle. You may be able to get the podcast on your computer using YTPodcaster, but I have nowhere at the moment to host a podcast myself.

Considering theirs is an audio podcast, it is likely they download the audio from their videos and reupload it to a different server where they can manage an RSS feed for it. We are working on a similar solution with uploading audio to a blog, but are still working on it.

Edit: reading further it seems as though that is not a youtube playlist at all, seeing as it covers subjects that the videos don't touch on

 

It's great that you mentioned No Heroes, that one has always looked great. It would be really great though if you could get @eskovas on to talk about it.

 

We have contacted him and he seems to not have the free time to join us, it's a possibility in the future.

Do you guys have an rss or somewhere to download the mp3s? I listen to podcasts in my car these days.

 

I just finished creating a podcast. It's hosted on Archive.org, so the download times may be a bit slow, but here's a link to the feed:

I listen to them all live but I downloaded one to check and was getting 8 MB/s so not slow.

 

Just a note to everyone, feedburner is just temporary. We have a website in the works that will host all the podcasts downloads, also a place to submit your games or assets. We may also embed the livestreams when they are live.

 

In terms of content, is there a pre-set agenda? Or is it alot more on-the-spot discussions and chat?

 

We always have a list prepared before hand, people can submit their games and assets using the form in the first post.

 

We have a list of topics we want to cover. It's always great when a topic spawns a good discussion, which is all on the spot.
