Unity Asset Store asking my to buy a recently purchased asset again?

    Hi,

    I recently bought the Orbital Reentry Craft asset from the asset store. I used a different account because I had to change payment methods (to my knowledge this is the only solution). I made sure I was logged in to the right account on Unity but the asset store still seems to show the import cache from my previous account.

    I have e-mailed Unity a few hours ago with my receipt and a ticket I was wondering if anyone has had experience with this problem along with a solution?

    I think the only thing you can do is wait for Unity to help you with it. If you have the receipt from the sale it ought to make the change a smooth one.

    Thanks. I do have the receipt but I'm nervous that they won't refund me. hoping for a response soon

    Just to clarify - you purchased the same asset twice - with two separate accounts, and are now asking for a refund?

    I have not bought the asset previously, I had to sign up for a new account because I couldn't change my original payment method on the asset store. With my new account I purchased the asset, I click the button to "Open in Unity", I log or pre-log into my new account using the Unity editor launcher, and when the asset store page comes up in the editor it shows my previous account's asset download/import cache and bringing up the page of the asset I just bought it's telling me to purchase it again instead of "Open in Unity" (in the editor)

    OK, after uninstalling Unity twice I figured out how to fix it.

    Reinstalling Unity 5 didn't work, downgraded to Unity 4.6.3, the asset's lowest compatible version and I guess the cache was cleared.

    I don't know if there is a proper way to change payment methods for my Unity account but according to what I've googled it's been a huge problem for some developers.

    Hope this can help someone in the future, don't know what you could do if it was exclusively a Unity 5 asset :(
