    Hello,

    I have a few question.

Does anybody have a recommendation for how many keys my animations should last? For example: Keys 1-25=idle...Keys 26-50=Walk, and so on..? Not really sure where to start there...

Also, baking animations, will this be compatible with Mechanim?

Also if anybody has some good articles on Maya animation and Unity I would appreciate them. I just want to try to get everything right from the beginning instead of going back and fixing mistakes.

    Thank you :???:

The Maya to Unity workflow is really simple. Just export fbx and Unity will pick it up. What you see in Maya will more or less be what you see in Unity.

Your animation can be in any order and last however long you want it to last, so as long as it looks good. I typically use 20 frames for a run, 40 for a walk. 60 for an idle. You can also change the speed of animations in Unity.
