    I post here for help:

Background: I made an app for children (education game) 6 years old. The project has been dragging for a very long, and originally I thought about putting unity ads if the players fall to 0 life, either watch the video ads or wait 15 minutes before being able to play. So I have implemented the UnityAds in the game. After the first check with support, they advised me to narrow the ad content to family-children safe content only which we did.

I don't collect any data from the users and also don't use any, but IOS store keeps rejecting my app for the same reason over and over with no chance for me to speak with IOS people and plead my case.

Unity Support answered me as follow:

Unity's SDK data collection does not violate Apple's policy. Please include the following information when appealing to Apple regarding your rejection:

Under the App store guideline, 1.3 Kids Category:

Here are two links that the iOS App Store team should be looking for. From Apple, "These two links seem to meet the requirements outlined under 1.3. Developers should be providing them to us when we metadata reject asking our Kids privacy questions. Developers can also include this information in the review notes of their submissions.

Unity Ads' Dashboard Documentation includes a section on setting up for Apple's Kids Policy. The relevant details are shown below:

"Both Google and Apple introduced requirements to ensure that apps that are directed at children and serve ads are safe to use. If you serve ads in your app and wish to participate in Google’s Designed for Families program or the Apple Kids Category, you must configure the Age designation setting to This app is directed to children under the age of 13, and set your Age limits filter to Do not show ads rated 13+ or stricter."

Unity Ads' Moderation Documentation highlights how creatives are human audited and that they are audited for age appropriateness. The relevant piece is shown below.

"All new creative packs undergo a human moderation process when their associated campaigns go live for the first time. Moderators ensure that creatives adhere to Unity's advertising content policies. They also age rate creatives according to app store publisher guidelines based on scary, violent, or otherwise inappropriate content for an age category. Publishers can filter the ads that show in their apps based on these ratings.

After receiving this, I tried to update my T&C and see if it would affect:

I follow on the same request as I did not manage yet to submit the app due to apple store remaining issues linked to "Children app" and "data collection" which I don't use

    Apple is telling me:

    Guideline 1.3 - Safety - Kids Category

We noticed that your Kids Category app includes analytics, advertising and collects, transmits, or has the ability to share personal information or device information with third parties. Specifically:
    - Your app includes third-party analytics or third-party advertising with the ability to collect, transmit or share identifiable information, including, for example, IDFA. We found that your app references the ASIdentifierManager API, which provides access to a user's IDFA, in the following location(s) in your binary:
    • Frameworks/UnityFramework.framework/UnityFramework
It would be appropriate to remove all instances of “ASIdentifierManager” from your app, even if they are not utilized in your app's functionality.

    Next Steps

To resolve this issue, please remove this functionality or revise your app so that no personally identifiable information or device information is sent to third parties.

Once you've remove this functionality, or if you do not currently track, update your app privacy information in App Store Connect (https://help.apple.com/app-store-connect/#/dev1b4647c5b) . You must have the Account Holder or Admin role (https://developer.apple.com/support/roles/) to update app privacy information.

    Resources

Learn more about our policies for Kids Category apps in App Store Review Guideline 1.3 (https://developer.apple.com/app-store/review/guidelines/#kids-category/) .

    Guideline 2.1 - Information Needed

Before we can proceed with the review of your app, we need additional information about how it complies with Guideline 1.3.

    Next Steps

To help us proceed with the review of your app, please provide complete and detailed responses to the following questions.

    • Does your app include third-party analytics? If so, please provide details about what data is collected for this purpose.
    • Does your app include third-party advertising? If so, please provide a link to the ad network's publicly-documented practices and policies for kids apps.
    • Will the data be shared with any third parties? If so, for what purposes and where will this information be stored?
    • Is your app collecting any user or device data for purposes beyond third-party analytics or third-party advertising? If so, please provide a complete and clear explanation of all planned uses of this data.

Once you reply to this message in Resolution Center with the requested information, we can proceed with your app's review.

IOS App rejected again the same issues:

I resubmit the app changed the details and wrote the terms and conditions clearly and automatically got a rejection see attached files:

I have no way to talk to them to discuss the issue, there is no text field for me to talk to them, also I spent a lot in dev to have this unity ad in the game and I don't have the fund to remove it, and I really want to be on the children store. I really don't collect this data or use any of it, what would you advise me to do?

Would you have a connection at Unity with Apple store people who could review my case?

I am quite frustrated because if it's proven Unity Ads are blocked for Children Store on IOS, I have lost a lot of money implementing it in the game, and also will lose again a lot of money to remove it from the game. This in my opinion should have been transparent from Unity on day 1 and you guys should release public release Children app developers should not engage in using Unity Ads or will be rejected from the store. if we can't put Unity Ads on the children's store. Do you know any children ap using Unity Ads, and if not, would anyone from the Unity team be able to link me to a person working at the IOS Store to have this dicussion rather than a reject with no solution/support given to me?

    Regards

    Jean charles
