Unity Ads stopped working in released build

    Hi!

    We have an app that is already released on the App Store and Google Play, and we are using Unity Ads.
    The ads have worked flawlessly before, but suddenly they stopped showing up. A few hours later they worked again, and this has happened several times the last couple of days. We haven't changed any code or settings since the app is already published.

    I checked the unity services status page but can't see any problems there.

    Our app was made in Unity 5.4.1, and it seems there has been some changes to Unity Ads in 5.5, can that be a problem?

    What can be the problem?

    Unity team were unable to identify the problem for me, but after switched to admob to fix the problem, I did some test, it seems like you have to use:

    #if UNITY_ANDROID
    Advertisement.Initialize("your id");
    #endif
    #if UNITY_IOS
    Advertisement.Initialize("your id");
    #endif

    to init the unity ads instead of just set the default ads id in the service window. Especially after you had changed your product name or re-linked your Unity project ID.

    And I highly recommend you to test your game on FlightTest for IOS and use Beta test for Google play before releases, its more similar to the live build.

    I hope anyone who suffers from this similar problem can see this post and Unity should fix this asap.

    If you can fix that, please do leave a replay here so I could know if it does fix the problem. I've already switched to admob, but still I have hopes on Unity Ads.

    @Unity: And again, you guys really should only hire people who use to work for Bank or nuclear silo to work on Unity ads, game can afford errors and bugs, ads cannot, its directly linked to money, its no joke.

    Noticed the same thing 2 days ago, all our live games stopped showing unityads.
    The initialization worked fine, but "Advertisement.IsReady()" always returned false.
    Some time later everything worked as normal again.

    On Game Performance I'm seeing the following reports (only on iOS, Android seems to be working)

    EntryPointNotFoundException: Unable to find an entry point named 'UnityAdsEngineSetReadyCallback' in '__InternalDynamic'.

    UnityEngine.Advertisements.iOS.Platform+unityAdsReady..ctor (System.Object object, IntPtr method)

    Unity 5.5.0p4.

    If you experience these issues, send an e-mail to unityads-support@unity3d.com

    Please include your game ID.

    I'm guessing this has to do with a downloaded corrupted ad plan that's still lingering in the device. Let me know if flushing the app memory on the device helps.
