    Hi all,

I found a few topics on this issue but all the threads are locked.
I tried a number of projects now in Unity 5 and the car behaviour is totally stoneage.
Each car in my game (car example assets from store) do not work as expected.
On Unity 4.6x everything is working normally.

I know some internal changes have taken place, but what does one do now, email each author of asset pack and ask them to upgrade to Unity 5 compatibility or there is some guide to manually make changes within Unity 5 to get the correct behaviour as Unity 4.6x

    Any ideas?

    Thanks

This is also happening to me. I would also be very grateful if anyone can shed some light regarding this.

I also struggled to get my project working again in Unity 5 even with very simplicity vehicle physics. I know the wheel collider was completely re-written with the upgrade of hysX2 to PhysX3. I did find some (small) documentation about this and how to setup a simple car under the current version: http://unity3d.com/profiles/unity3d/themes/unity/resources/downloads/beta/unity-5.0-user-guide.pdf

One issue I had (at least I think so) was my car prefab was built with the X being the forward axis but I found that it needed to be Z facing when I rebuilt it in 5. Maybe I missed something along the way, but this appeared to be a requirement from the wheel collider itself.

When I contacted Author of "Car" assets and asked can you help with upgrade to Unity 5, they said there no issues and they claimed everything okay with Unity 5, it seems to me they didn't run there own assets and test..
I'm just surprised other people not experiencing issues with Wheel colliders.

Yeah, I've read that one too. And it didn't answer anything for me. Also, I found out that the WheelCollider behave better when it's a front wheel drive or 4 wheel drive but not if it's a back wheel drive (for a 4 wheeled vehicle). Although, even if the behaviour was better, it still got some artifacts (but I guess that's probably because I didn't set the proper values to them), like sliding by itself, slips a lot, or the opposite, cannot rotate at all, or rotate the opposite direction, etc.
