Directional light's shadow cast couses wierd white stuff over terrain's trees. What happened ?

The reason why i said it's coused by shadows, is becouse when i disable shadows in directional light, this disappears, trees go to normal again.

    Here's a screenshot:

I tried to look into my crystal ball but wasn't able to see your issue. If you want help of a visual nature, screenshots of your settings, pictures of the issue etc go a long way to helping discover the problem.

And a lot of problems stem from people using PBS badly.

You were asked to show your settings, because it is not possible to help otherwise. I guess bumping doesn't help...

No i was never asked to show my settings... Hippocoder said screenshot, and from what i understood, he ment the screenshot of the problem itself... Why does it matter, the settings ? It shouldn't look like that, no matter what settings of directional light are.

He wrote that you should post a screenshot of the settings. There are tons of settings in Unity and it is a no brainer to mess things up with wrong settings, wrong matterials, ... . If you don't share that kind of information, it is impossible to help. We won't guess what it might be, because there are simply too many possibilities. You just need to search in this forum about shadow issues. There are some frequently occurring ones, some less typical ones. And keep in mind that Unity 5 is relatively new, so not all kinds of wrong settings are well known yet and there might even be one or the other bug.

Long story short: Share your settings.

Oh right, didn't see that, sorry. Um, eventhough i don't know why are thoose important, i took some screenshots. All i did is switch between soft shadows and no shadows, and that happened:

Your Bias and Normal Bias shouldn't be 0. Put to 0.05 and 0.4.

That did help, i fixed it, but now i don't know if this will be good or bad for my camera in future stuff that will be in game, rendering forward. What does it mean ?

No that's not it, i did try it too.

You can be sure that Unity wants that trees work in deferred rendering as well. So if you don't have a reason use deferred, just use forward for now.

The bias is not the cause for this effect, but setting it to 0 will lead to lots of other issues.

Still happens even with shadows turned off I see... Well, guess that makes Unity 5 unsuable for us until they fix it. Not surprised that this is happening to trees as well, far and away the most broken thing in Unity - from not working at night/not working in linear/costing 4ms/frame for bugged billboards/etc :|
