Hey, can somebody clarify a few things for me? I preordered Unity 5, so I have the Professional license for PC/Mac. So I get access to the dark skin (yeah!), services, Asset Store deals and whatnot. So far so good.

However the game I'm making is a mobile game, yet I don't have Pro-licenses for Android and iOS. Which brings me to my questions:
    1. Can I publish my game for Android and iOS using the Personal Editions, yet enjoy the Pro services because I have the Pro-license for PC/Mac?
    2. I have access to Unity Analytics Pro, but does that mean I get those Pro-only analytics features (whatever they may be) for my game even though it does not have a standalone build, only the mobile versions? (In other words: does mobile-Unity Analytics Pro require mobile-Pro license?)
    3. Any problems using those services and grabbing free assets and using them for the mobile games, that are built with Personal Edition?
I am aware of the $100,000 / year limit, and that is not a problem. This is my first game using Unity, all my previous work has based on my own, custom engines. Should this game generate sufficient revenue, I'd gladly purchase the Pro-licenses for mobile too.

I don't mind the splash screen (especially if the "Personal Edition" text gets removed), but I'd rather not spend another $3000 just for the removal of splash screen, as I can access all the features already with the Personal Edition (which is great; kudos for that btw!). Yet I'm happy with my Pro-purhase (dark skin!!!) and would like the services, but if I cannot use them when building mobile games with PE, then I'll have to think of getting a refund. It does not make financial sense for me to buy mobile-Pros at this time, so I would then revert to just plain Personal and say goodbye to the dark skin.

TLDR: I have a standalone Pro-license yet I make mobile games. Do I need Pro-licenses for mobiles too?

    No.

As the EULA says, in your case, you should use Unity 5 Personal to build your mobile projects.
You cannot mix your Pro license with the personal version.

As long as your are eligible for Unity Personal, you can use it, with the respective iOS, Android Personal.

I believe I am correct, but I'll always defer to an actual Unity employee...

Yes you can publish your game on Android and iOS using the Personal edition .
Yes you have access to Unity Analytics Pro since that is in the Unity 5 Pro license.
    No problems using assets.

I believe I am eligible for Unity Personal Edition as an sole proprieator having not earned a single dime using Unity so far. If I add Unity Analytics (Pro) to my mobile game (built with PEs), does that count as mixing Pro with Personal? Actually I'm not even sure how could I mix the licenses, as the Pro-editor should not allow me to, say, remove splash screens for mobile builds...

Actually after speaking to Unity about this we are waiting from legal.

The issue is it's designed to protect against studios intending to use a lot of personal editions then deploying with a single pro edition, or for people who have an income >100k.

In this case it's entirely illogical you cannot use professional for desktop and personal for mobile. In 4.x it would just revert to a limited feature set. In this case with earnings <100k / year it is illogical for you to have to convert your desktop license to personal, then deploy then back again and even then makes no sense really.

So we're waiting to hear back, and there is no authoritative answer to it above this post. Wait for Unity staff.

Hey, thanks a lot guys! Especially @Josh Naylor for finding that, I checked the EULA and FAQ but was not sure so had to ask. :) You might want to add it to the FAQ, actually.
