UNITY 5 overheating my Mac Mini ?

    It seems like MAC MINI is having problems with the stuff im working on ever since moving to Unity 5. But I dont know for sure if it is UNITY, maybe all the new features like Shadows are causing this ?

    Also for something simple like changing texture type - Before it would just take a second, but now my MAC MINIs fans start whaling lol

    (I have a 2011 mac mini with 8gb of ram)

    Thoughts ?

    Unity cannot magically overheat a device. But unity uses all available resources (as any intensive application would) and certainly more cores. This is the likely source. Get a new computer :)

    I dunno bro, my mac is awesome and I have been making games for awhile now. Something is up.... I just dont know what (Still love UNITY ofcoruse)

    Since I have you may I ask another question ?

    I just tried building a game for the iPad but all the shadows are gone and it looks - well not very UNITY 5 :|

    Is there something I have to do when I build thats different in 5 ? Sorry...

    So... Ever since I changed my quality settings to a higher quality this problem seems to have gone away... I just want to update you guys.

    Love UNITY 5 So much :D I cant even explain... I need to learn MORE!!
