I installed Unity 5 beta on my Macbook Air and cut/pasted my serial from 1Password software license key storage and it beach balled. So I manually typed it in, I then used 1Password to cut/paste my serial and when I hit Command V to paste it, it beach balled again. I managed to get it activated by manually typing in all the information. But it happened 100% of the time when trying to cut/paste.

This is a known issue, I believe since beta9 (I found it in the release notes when I looked for it earlier today). IIRC, there also were some postings about this and it apparently is a non-trivial issue to fix. I'm quite happy that at least typing the serial is working, even though that's terribly inconvenient. But otherwise, I couldn't have activated Unity 5 on my MacBook Pro.

Good to know it is a known issue, I tried finding a post on it and I couldn't. I ended up just typing everything and it worked fine.

It was right next to the download link when beta 9 was out.

I don't see anything near beta 9 about it.

Maybe they've removed it then. But it is mentioned in known issues for beta 9, at least.
