Unity 5.5.1

    We wan't to upgrade to Unity5.5, but there are some bug shows fixed in Unity5.5.1. So when will Unity5.5.1 will be released?

    It's planned for mid-January, so in about 2 weeks.

    I really need Unity 5.5.1.
    For some weird reason, OAuth is not possible in 5.5.0 because URL schemes are broken on iOS...

    If you are referring to this issue, we released patch 4 yesterday that has a fix for it.

    Thanks, although I'm not working with Facebook but with our own in-house OAuth and API, I will give this a try :)

    EDIT: GREAT and thanks, now URL schemes with custom variables work again :)

    Frustrating. I was waiting for 5.5.1 for fixes to 2 issues that I've got workarounds for but it introduces another issue that'll need another temporary workaround.

    This one. I normally avoid patches unless absolutely necessary so may just stick with 5.5.0 (plus workarounds) and wait for 5.5.2.
    • Ads: Engine integrated Ads fails to load on iOS builds published to Apple App Store (874227). Workaround is to use Asset Store package Unity Ads 2.0. This will be fixed as soon as possible.

    Ah yes, this issue. We are trying to get it fixed for p1 this week, but worst case scenario next week.

    Unfortunately no. Editor & build no longer immediately crash, instead they freeze forever on 0% CPU use. Exact same bug, behaviour has not improved.
    Others have also confirmed that this is incorrectly marked as fixed: ( issuetracker.unity3d.com/issues/loading-multiple-bundles-using-assetbundle-dot-loadassetasync-freezes-editor )

    It's fixed in the first patch (5.5.1p1) which hopefully comes this or next week.

    Facing this Bug since version 5.5.0 (still present in 5.5.1)



    Core i3, Intel HD Graphics
    4 GB RAM
    Windows 7

    I had created a post in reddit asking if anyone else was also facing this bug and a reddit user replied that it's also present in HD 3000

    I'm having a total nightmare with the new TexturePostProcessor.

    The code won't compile on PC, on Mac it reports no errors but in MonoDevelop it lists every single script in the Editor folder as broken and refuses to import UnityEngine, so I've no idea whether something works or not.

    It seems like it just ignores all of the bugs on Mac, and on PC the new different settings for every platform breaks all of my import scripts.

    This is a total disaster for me because on every texture I import I have to change ALL of the settings - absolutely none of the default settings are usable in any of my projects so I have to write a script to fix all of the crap default settings.

    But now I can't write a script because on the Mac it won't tell me whether a script is working or not.

    Okay - downloading the latest patch. Forgot the due process with Unity being a S***.

    Okay, downloaded patch 4. Still broken. Can't write editor scripts on Monodevelop on Mac. Simply won't recognise the UnityEngine or UnityEditor.
