Kubuntu 16.04.1 laptop with nvidia optimus, nvidia card is forced enabled, driver version 361.42. CL option -force-opengl or -opengl-force doesn't work and there are no any errors in Konsole. How to make it work in OpenGL 4.5 mode?

UPD: the same issue on desktop with GTX 550 Ti (OS, drivers are the same).

-force-glcore is the thing you should use. -force-opengl is for the legacy opengl. Also, maybe in player settings, uncheck automatic graphics API for linux and keep only glcore. However, it is still not clear if glcore is enabled in the editor as it was disabled due to some glitches in 5.2 version, but no word about the fix since then.

Thanks for your reply, but both things were useless. Unity still runs in OpenGL 2.1 mode.

Do you have bumblebee installed? Did you launch Unity with primusrun? If not it will default to your intel gpu.

    Have to correct myself.
It is part of the known issues:
