[Unity 5.4.0][Android] Animations lagging

    Since updating to Unity 5.4.0 we have noticed that animations in our game started to lag noticeably. Sometimes they start too late, other times they don’t start at all.

    We are using AnimationClip.SampleAnimation to play all necessary animations. Mechanim is not suitable for our purposes. We used to use legacy animations but had to drop it due to issues with replaying animations on UI objects. This implementation has been working through a number of updates, the issue arose only after 5.4.0. It is repeated constantly both in the editor and in the Android build.

    Unity representatives: are you aware of this issue? Any plans on having it fixed? Is there anything we can do to help you identify it and fix it promptly?

    Hi dsable,

    no this is not something we are aware of, QA is investigating your bug report but you didn't submit any project so we are waiting for an answer from you. If it a regression we will fix it.
