Unity 5.1.0f3 (32 bit) wont run on my windows xp machine...please help !!

If anyone can help with this am most grateful.
I downloaded and installed Unity for the first time, everything worked fine. After signing in to unity and trying to load the example project/or make a new project, it starts to load scripts/compiling etc, a box says hold on etc..., but then the computer just crashes (windows task manager says unity not responding). I even left it for 1hr but nothing happens.
Ive tried re-installing unity with the same result.
I tried updating my graphics driver
I checked the DEP settings they are just on for windows essential programs.
I am thinking - is my computer below system requirements or are there any other programs that unity needs to use that i might not have installed on the computer.
System info:
XP pro 2002 service pack 3
intel pentium 4 , 3.2 ghz, 1 gb ram 120gb hard drive
graphics card geforce fx5200
any advice greatly appreciated

Seriously.

 

Let go of xp its long gone, how can u run new software on such old operating system
