I am a small developer (literally, I am 11 years old) and want to make a complex-graphics game with some prior knowledge to unity3d and unreal engine 4 (Terrains, C# Scripting, .NET Framework, Physics, Collision, Rotation, Nav Meshes, Audio, UI, GUI, Button events, Scenes, etc.). I couldn't find a free version of unity 5 (I can't really afford spending too much on game development even though it's the thing I do the most) so I was wondering on the purchase information and the free release date.
    Thanks in advance!

Unit 5 isn't out yet, though it will be soon. 4.6 has been out for a while and as always has a free version.

Unreal Engine 3 and UDK are the same thing.

You know you can use 4.6 free now then transfer to 5.0 free when it comes out.

I thought that mods already warned you about not making these type random polls...

If websites had existed back when I was 11, this is probably the type of thing I would have done. :p

5 will come out when it's done. There is a public beta at the moment, so it's not far off.

Your better off focusing on school and getting your math, physics and/or art skills built up. By the time you are ready to make games commercially 7 or 8 will be out.

Additionally I would recommend learning programming in general.

This is exactly the type of thing I did on BBSs when I was 11, haha.

If you are able to pull it off without hurting your school performance, it'd be actually very interesting what you'll come up with. I have often wondered what it would be like if I was able to make a game back in my pre-teen years, when imagination was running rampant. Not that I didn't try :(

Think about what that means before you start anything, you will need a lot more than just engine knowledge to accomplish this.
