Unity 5.0.2 OS X Yosemite: Editor Won't Launch

I just installed Unity for the first time on a pretty new Macbook Pro running OS X Yosemite. Every time I try running the program it opens the project selection page. Creating a new project (or opening a previously created project) results in either a spinning wheel that disappears as soon as the mouse is moved, then nothing, or a blank window titled "Unity 5.0.2f1" and a spinning wheel. Regardless of which of these two I get nothing happens afterward. I left it to load, assuming on first launch it might take a while to build a new project, for over 30 minutes with no result. Still a blank window.

Anyone heard of any errors like this on Yosemite? I have a gaming PC that I can run Unity 5 on, but I'd rather use Unity on the same machine I model and animate on.

Any help is appreciated. I've already submitted the issue through the Bug Reporter. Thanks in advance!
