Unity 4.5 won't register on MacOS 10.10

Hello everyone,

I've installed MacOS 10.10 Yosemite on my laptop and after I installed it and tried to run for the 1st time, the screen where you are supposed to register, is black.

Any hint on how to solve it?

The laptop is not my main computer but I thought it would be nice to be able to use Unity on it too.

10.10 is not in a release state yet. You should probably submit bugs to Apple, and possibly Unity.

I just manage to get it working by manually activating it.

 

I'm having the same issue, how did you manually activate it?

 

Unplug your ethernet cable and turn off the wi-fi.
Then follow the instructions that will pop up

I tried the manual process, but at the end, it doesn't work. It freeze again, but without the gray screen. Some tips?

 

Hi @alexander I hope that @Graham Dunnett link works for you.

The way I did, I followed the manual installation step by step offline. I only went online to upload the authentication file.
After that it worked fine.
But, like @Eric5h5 said, Yosemite is beta and very unstable right now.

seems to affect all network connections of unity (asset store, update check)

 

I have no idea of what might be wrong.
