    the performance depends on the device, there is a lot of devices with very different specs and performance, also about the shadows, do you have android pro?

    No, I could only afford the base version for android mobile.

    shadows are a pro only feature, it does support normal maps and alpha maps depending on the shader used..

    what you should be considering is using as few polygons and textures possible, hardware resources on mobile devices are scarse even high end tablets will not perform the same as high end pcs

    what do you mean? in general - there is nothing platform specific about textures (apart compression sure, and some stuff you shouldnt care about now 8))
