I'm hoping someone can shed some light on this issue I've been having for months with Unity 3.5. I just verified it happens on Unity 3.5.5 as well.

Basically, whenever I click on any element in the UI, whether it's an element in the Hierarchy or the Play Scene button or a property field in the Inspector, there is a chance that it will beach ball, and interaction with the IDE is impossible. The beach ball never goes away, unless I cmd+tab away to another app, then come back. In fact, it usually goes away immediately, so when I have to work on this computer, I've trained myself to cmd+tab right away when it happens. Seems to happen once every six clicks or so.

    Other details:

    - I'm running an up-to-date Lion on an iMac with plenty of memory.
    - It doesn't happen at all on my old 2005 MacBook running Snow Leopard.
    - It happens with a brand new project with just one empty GameObject in it.
    - It doesn't matter if Unity is the only app open.

Any ideas about how I can avoid this are welcome.
