    Unity 2D animation package causes editor spikes. In particular IKEditorManager causes it on hierarchy changes. I attached a screenshot of it. Also i use v5.2.3.

    Often times editor spikes can be helped by not having things selected while running.

    Otherwise if you think this is a bug and you can replicate it in a simple nearly-empty project, then report it.

    Keep in mind that there is only one way to report bugs.

    Help -> Report a Bug...

    Every other method is simply screaming into the forum void and will not help the situation.

    The problem is not selecting objects or something i made in editor. IKEditorManager is calling FindObjectsOfType on every hierarchy changes. It won't cause spikes in empty project beacuse it does not contain many GameObjects. It happens in relatively big projects and reduces productivity.

    Hello,
    Like Kurt-Dekker pointed out, the best way to have an issue looked at is to report a bug. It is very easy to miss a forum message, but every bug ticket gets looked at.

    That said, we just fixed an issue where we noticed editor spikes when modifying the IK Manager's inspector. This change will likely also have a positive impact on the performance when modifying the hierarchy. The fix is currently scheduled to land in 2D Animation 5.2.5 (Unity 2020.3). Once it lands, give it a spin and let us know if it resolves your issue.
    Thanks!
