When I have this checked, it crashes irregardless if it's build or build and run.

If it's unchecked it runs but the screen has the center window with it being black then it turns blue. It says QuestBuild on the title window and nothing else.

Quest Pro works fine when you hit play up here:

but I want it to be ran independent of the editor so it runs faster.

Even if I remove Vulkan here, it just crashes. I sit because of Unity 2023??

An android build is not the same as a windows version via link
Totally different OS and via link the quest does not do any processing.
Do you have graphics jobs enabled? If so, disable it.
If it crashes without clear reason with opengles maybe file a bug report.

First update to the latest beta btw!
Also update the oculus xr plugin if available

Unity looks fast in the VR but with Wii graphics.. Unreal Engine looks better (photorealistic terrain) and is fast too it's just I didn't get the locomotion to work in that yet.

I don't think I ever got it to save. VR wasn't launching on somethings like Project Cars 3 but it works now. I wonder if I can get it to work later.

How do I save a Unity VR project to be an .exe or at least a shortcut one-click to work in the Meta Quest Pro like it does for Android with .apk?

Unity also can look good, it just depends on how you set it up

A VR game can just be built to .exe and then if you use Link you can easily get in-game

Then you need a .apk? It's an android device. .apk is android, .exe is windows
