    Can you send me a new crash dump from after you applied the workaround? It seems to have helped everyone so far, so I'm wondering what's different in your case.

    Here's an alternative fix that I'm working on getting into a Unity release, that doesn't involve reinstalling anything on your machine. This zip file contains two dll files (tbb12.dll and tbbmalloc.dll). Simply copy them to Unity installation next to Unity.exe and replace the existing ones. This should make the crash go away.

    Unity 2021.2.14 continues crashing at start (Windows 7) but with this patch now works, but now when create a 3D blank project appear a error without information to fix it, the error is:

    Internal build system error. Backend exited with code -1073741511.

    If you downgrade to 2021.2.12f1 it should start working. We're working on the "Backend exited with code -1073741511" error, it's a known issue. Fix is coming.

    The fix for the original issue landed to 2021.2.17f1 and 2022.1.0b13. Hopefully it's gone for good. We're also taking steps to prevent similar issues from getting introduced in the future.

    The fix for "Internal build system error. Backend exited with code -1073741511." landed to 2021.2.15f1, which was released today. And it landed to 2022.1.0b13 today too.

    Installed a new final version of Unity.
    I did not change anything in the Microsoft Redistributable packages.
    Everything remained unchanged from February 19.
    Editor started without Crash.

    But Icons! Why? Again... :eek::D:D:D

    Yes we fixed the issue with the redistributables. No workaround is needed anymore.

    Regarding icons: this is a separate issue that is unrelated to the original issue. Did you ever end up reporting a bug on this? Can you show your editor log?

    This story with empty icons has been going on for a long time.
    But there were versions of Unity with which everything was fine - #138

    (Case 1365239) There are no icons on the interface buttons_1.jpg (Case 1365239) There are no icons on the interface buttons_2.jpg

    Can you respond to that email thread and say that you are facing the icons issue in the latest version? I wonder if this has anything to do with your GPU drivers (for Intel HD 3000)... As a test, you could try launching the editor using "-force-driver-type-warp" - that's not a workaround as it will make everything run super slow, but would at least confirm/deny the driver issue.

    It seems that the cause of the Glitch is not only in the drivers... :)

    -The reinstalling of the drivers for intel 3000 did not give anything
    without disconnecting the drivers Unity 2022.1.1f1 still does not show the icons :oops:

    But, take a look here!
    - I reinstalled the Beta version of Unity, the screenshot from which I showed above, and...
    The it are icons in their places! :D
