Bug Unity 2021.2. 0b1 does not start

    Can you try using a simpler path, like "C:\Dumps"? While I'm not 100% certain, it could be it doesn't like creating dumps inside onedrive folder or a folder with unicode characters. And make sure to create that folder before trying to launch Unity.

    Somebody please can check if in the new 2021.2.1f1 release this error was fixed?, i have not unlimited internet data to download the 2GB+ installer, thanks.

    That sounds like a completely different issue. Can you file a bug report on it?

    i haved report it..... my teamate can open 2021.2 but i can't..i don't know why ... hope you can fix it on next version...

    Yep, 2021.2.1 and 2021.2.2 currently crash the same way on my PC. Waiting for the fix.

    Today, I tried 2021.2.2 and result is same. It does nothing when I click Unity.exe. And it doesnt produce any dump files although I changed dump location. Problem is I need 2021.2 urgent for a webgl project. Is there any other way of helping me?
    I am waiting your your response for urgent situation...

    Hi, I not found .log or crash files from Unity 2021.2.0f, I think that the editor unity.exe cant start and cant save log files.

    Can you try running Unity through a debugger?

    1. Start Visual Studio
    2. Click "Open Project or Solution": upload_2021-11-18_11-26-52.png
    3. Navigate to Unity installation folder and select Unity.exe: upload_2021-11-18_11-27-36.png
    4. In the solution explorer, right click on Unity and press Properties:

    5. In "arguments" field, input "-projectpath" parameter and the path to your Unity project:

    6. Press F5
    7. See what happens. If it crashes, do Debug -> Save Dump As... and send me the dump. If it doesn't crash, please copy/paste the contents of the output window.

    (2021.2.0b11 - 14 - works. Without some UI Icons, but without crash at start Editor )

    I have a similar problem. Unity Editor 2021.2.X crashes at startup. 2021.1.X works at the same time. Upgrading Win 7 to Win 11 did not resolve the crash issue.

    This seems like a different issue than it was reported in this thread. I believe the original issue never even displayed anything. Do you have a log for this?

    Thanks. That helps. It seems it crashes when loading system installed fonts. It seems it doesn't handle one of your installed fonts for whatever reason. We'll investigate it.

    Removed all fonts that Windows allowed, restored default font settings. The crash problem was not resolved.
