Unity 2020 Null Pointer Dereference in build

    Hi there, I'm quite new to Unity, and I struggle to debug things. If I get errors in editor it usually points to the exact line and file. But this error happens only in build.

    I use platform-tools and cmd -> logcat to get information about crash, but it doesn't point to the exact line:

    It only says "Null Pointer Dereference"

    How can I understand where did that happen?
    ----------------------------------------------------------------
    On a side note, I have checked advices from here:
    https://forum.unity.com/threads/null-reference-in-builds.147397/

    But they don't seem to help.
    -Checked that GetComponents are in Awake()
    -Moved those components UP in the component tree
    -Checked that I dont have EditorOnly tags and calls for them

    Can you please copy-paste the entire relevant log message? There should be more to it than 3 words. You may need to include some of the lines before or after it.

    Note that the error log can show scripts and line numbers in builds, but only if they're built with the "Development Build" option ticked.

    @angrypenguin Thanks for the follow up. I really appreciate any help. Here is the entire log, but as I said, it is unreadable for me:

    I can see it does say something about NavMesh, but what exactly? I just copied the entire library from GitHub and didn't modify scripts.

    hi i have the same issue i cant seem to find StripEngineCode any where ?

    @super_duo It's in Player Settings, under Configuration (only available when building with the IL2CPP Scripting backend, as I understand no stripping occurs when using Mono).

    I'm also getting this error reported through Firebase. It crashed the game on numerous devices, they seem to all use OpenGL ES 3.2 and ARM64 CPU

    I figured it out by downgrading Entities package as suggested in this post

    It doesn't related to Google Play Services but Entities package.

    Unity.Entities 0.17, com.unity.platforms 0.10. Not easy to upgrade to 0.50 due to Vulkan performance issues on Android.
