Unity 2019.2.6f1 crashing on clients, new error.

    I update my project for the newest unity and now I'm getting new crash errors on google play, these did not exist when using previous versions.

    The exact same error ocurred on the following devices:

    Samsung Galaxy Tab S4 (gts4lwifi), Android 9
    Samsung Galaxy S8+ (dream2lte), Android 9
    Samsung Galaxy J6+ (j6primelte), Android 9
    Samsung Galaxy J6 (j6lte), Android 9
    LGE LG Aristo (lv3), Android 7.0

    The game had about 9.000 new installs on this new version, the error ocurred for a few clients.

    I only use Unity with Unity Ads, Unity IAP and this plugin : https://github.com/playgameservices/play-games-plugin-for-unity/tree/android-java-client

    So this is because of https://unity3d.com/unity/whats-new/2019.2.5

    2. Android: Improve error messages for cases where android application fails to load libmain.so. Previously it was printing "Unable to find main", now it will print "Failed to load 'libmain.so', the application will terminate.", additionally it will print exception from System.loadLibrary with detailed info, where the application was looking for libmain.so

    The error means, the application package is missing native libraries... there are several issues which can cause this, but all related to app bundles. Some of those should have been fixed by Google.

    Some can be workarounded like mentioned here - https://issuetracker.google.com/issues/127691101, see this thread https://forum.unity.com/threads/nat...ativerestartactivityindicator-v.546271/page-4 and search for ProjectGeneratorCallback.cs. You only need this workaround, if you're allowing your app to be installed on SD card.

    Also if you get this on Google Play Console, can you copy paste the exception title, right now I only see the stacktrace.

    By the way, I see Unity 2019.2.7 fix this error: "Mobile: [Android] Crash in java.lang.UnsatisfiedLinkError when application location is changed to SD card on Android device (1181365)"

    It's in Known Issues section, thus it's not yet fixed. The backport is still pending

    Hi Tomas,

    I updated Unity to 2019.2.12, and it fixed my problem.
    But I dont understand about "android.bundle.enableUncompressedNativeLibs=false". What is that mean?
    I dont see that config in mainTemplate.gradle.

    Please explain it for me. And do I have to add this config to mainTemplate.gradle?

    Please read release notes carefully, it's gradle.properties, not mainTemplate.gradle

    No idea about the crashes, also it more looks like a suspended app, the crash may have happened on other threads

    We are also have a lot of apps which crossed bad behaviour red line, with this and another Unity bugs. It is very very sad that nobody really cares. We are using the latest 2019.2, now we are going to migrate to 2019.3 and see what's happening here.

    People in Unity try to put the effort on us on every single thread. “We need the logs, we need this, we need that”. I’ve been seeing this from months and months. If not from years. Well, just create an empty game and upload it to the play store. They will have thousands of the error to work on. Instantly. Everybody here knows it’s “pandemic” and everybody knows it’s almost impossible to recreate those bugs locally.
    It’s clear for me that they have enough logs but they don’t have any clue on how or where to fix it. Or they don’t really care.

    @Tomas1856 hello, and hello everyone, we are seeing this crash report on firebase. 1st its occured in v2.0 then i changed whole plugins and imported latest plugins of admob firebase and unity ads. they are gone in v2.1. and now i uploaded 2.2 with same plugins which were in v2.1 crashes generating again in firebase. here is my crash report log. i'm getting 60% crash free user since i uploaded v2.2.     This issue related when correct native libraries are not included with installation package. One of the scenarios this can happen, if you're uploading app bundle to google play (which contains ARMv7 and ARM64 inside), then somebody converts it to apk but for specific cpu architecture (for ex., ARMv7) and puts in another store. When the user downloads the app from that different store, only one cpu architecture might be available (ARMv7), but the app will say it supports two. Upon trying to launch an app, app will search for ARM64 libraries and those will not be present, and the above exception will be thrown.

    I know Google fixed this in higher Android OS version by simply not allowing to install such incomplete apps.

    Not sure if that's the case you're seeing, if you can reproduce this locally, we would really like to receive a bug with repro project

    would the same issue be creating other issues like below as we are getting 100's of these types of errors

    You could bump min target sdk, but you would loose a lot of supported android devices.

    It's possible to make it a crash free app, basically doing a check if native library exists, if not - show a dialog "The app was incorrectly installed. Press Ok to quit". So in this case nothing would crash, and app would simply quit. Not sure if that would be acceptable for you.

    Thanks for your response. Our android version is way above bad behaviour threshold because of these bugs so its very frustrating and important that we resolve somehow.

    If that error happens only with "Device model : KRONO NET_TITAN", that might be some issue with Krono Android OS version. If you can reproduce this, please submit a bug with repro project attached, it might helps us to pin point the issue.
