    Hi,
    Im using a Razer Core X and 5700XT, on a macbook 16" with a 5300M
My bake time its higher on 5700XT, and is using it, using only 1 thunderbolt 3 port and the other for display, not using the display cable in razer, but i get a poor score.
Testing with same physical specs some geek benchmark or games i got doble score in 5700XT it works then. But why not while doing bake of lights in Unity 3d?

    Attach picture for more information

    thanks for support.

I just landed here because I googled for Unity lightbaking with an eGPU.

eGPUs only have a fraction of the bandwidth available compared to cards directly connected via PCIe. It highly depends on the use case if that matters. For some use cases (many games, GPU benchmarks) the performance loss may be acceptable. For other use cases, it may totally demolish the performance. Apparently, light baking falls into the second catergory. But it would be nice to get an officiel statement on this.
