    Unity staff replied in the linked thread three days ago with:

    At the time of writing we're at 2019.2.0a9. A new alpha version seems to be released about every week (link), plus/minus a few days. Thus the alpha with the fix should be available in about 2 weeks.

    If I remember their back-port plan correctly, they first back-port the fix to 2019.1 and then 2018.3 or perhaps it's 2018.4 even then.

    I can imagine it takes about 4 to 6 weeks for a fixed 2018 version to be released.
