Unity 2018.1.9f2-MLTP10 disapeared?

Hello,

I downloaded Unity version of 2018.1.9f2-MLTP10 on the 12th of March and have tested a few things regarding Magic Leap One.

Now, when I go to the Magic Leap web site following Creator section(https://creator.magicleap.com/downloads/lumin-sdk/unity), there's an Unity package of Lumin SDK .

Under the "Install Unity Magic Leap", I clicked "Download Unity" but all I can see is Unity 2019 beta version(https://unity3d.com/unity/beta/2019.1#downloads).

My project which i'm gonna port to Magic Leap One need 2018 version of Unity, so it would be grateful if you let me know if Unity version of 2018.1.9f2-MLTP10 is still available, and if it is, where I can download it.

Besides, since the Unity 2019.1.0f1 is a 'beta program', there should be some bugs.

When is the regular version of Unity supporting Lumin OS platform going to be released?

Unity 2019.1.0f2 was officially released a few days ago, that is the first regular (non-beta, non-preview) version of Unity supporting Lumin OS, just go to the "Latest Version" link on Unity's website. Note, it's more complicated to set up for Magic Leap now, you should go to the Magic Leap developer forums, there's a thread there with instructions (you'll also need the newest Magic Leap SDK, 0.20.0).

Now I understand Unity 2019.1.0f2 is non-beta version supporting Lumin OS.

I've already downloaded Unity 2019.1.0f2 and the newest Magic Leap SDK, 0.20.0.

So you mean Unity 2018.1.9f-MLTP10 is "Preview" version of Unity, which is why I can't download it anymore?

Because I couldn't find MLTP version of Unity in "Older versions of Unity"(https://unity3d.com/get-unity/downl...09.668108711.1555899787-1650682457.1549506488).

 

Correct, MLTP stands for "Magic Leap Technical Preview", which (as you said) was based on Unity 2018.1 (so was missing many of Unity's newer features). It used to be linked from

https://unity3d.com/partners/magicleap

but now the link goes to the newest Unity release build.

So is there no way to get the 2018.1 based version? I need that one to have access to the old UNet networking system... it is removed in 2019, isn't it? Is there no download link anywhere at all for 2018.1 MLTP 10?

 

Unity routinely removes access to download special feature preview builds of the editor once the functionality has been merged into the main editor branches. Almost certainly if you didn't install it when it was available, you're too late.

Unet is still available in Unity 2019.x, though the HLAPI has been moved to a package instead of integrated into the editor. I'd seriously recommend moving to another network API, given that Unet was deprecated over a year ago and its been over 3 years since Unity gave it any serious effort regarding support.
