Unity-2017.4.9f1 not running on Ubuntu 18.04.1 LTS

    Hello, i downloaded Unity-2017.4.9f1 installer, installs unity, but its not running, its even not appear in apps list, when i try to run Unity executable - nothing happens. I have no clue how to fix that, but i really need unity on my computer, anyone help me please

    Did you try running it from terminal?

    If i understood correct, i tryed, but it says this app is not found or something like this, but i got installed unity, can you give me an example of what i should try to input into terminal please?

    I had to go back and find an old .deb packaged Unity Editor. I installed that, which installed the dependencies, and then I could install the version I want. It would be good for novice linux users to package all the Editors into .deb
