Can someone from Unity please confirm if this happening and we can attend in person?

I know lot of people are already registered, booked flights and hotels for this event. Also, if not in person are we getting a refund?

  8. I really don't understand the strategy here (probably there isn't one), because they left this in:

you mean you never been to one?

Yes, lots of people go and usually packed with lot of cool people. You get to learn a lot and meet a lot of like minded other developers.

Yes, Unite is still happening. All conference passes are sold out (and have been since early September); if you want to get on the waitlist then the advice is to sign up an account on the event site, and the events team will send out emails if more passes become available.

I need to voice my concern with early registration. The event was slated to take place at November 15-16.

My expectations were based on the last two physical Unite conferences (Amsterdam & Copenhagen). There were more sessions to attend than you had time for, and they spanned two whole days. Which warrants a 2 day conference.

I'm disappointed to see that the first day merely consists out of an evening party (food, music, drinks). And the 2nd day an afternoon for the show floor. I feel this (while I'm sure is not intended) is misleading. It seems I will only be attending two sessions, as there's a slim overlap with my areas of interest. DOTS is wholly absent.

Though, I'm excited for the keynote and to get an impression of the new CEO, to speak to some staff to get their point of view, and to touch base with fellow asset store developers.

Admittedly, next year I will waiting for the program to be disclosed first.

And I hope it will be about GAMES... No corporate PR leetspeak, no sales figures and margins... The highlight is the UNITY ENGINE and the awesome creators

It hasn't really been about games for a while now and it seems to be getting worse:

Original (snapshotted July 30th) blog post is basically the same as the current blog post: a party on the first day followed by an actual conference the second day. If I had to guess the event is happening more as a way to say that it's business as usual than that they have anything of actual value to show.

Well those that were hoping to see some subpar performance, a lot of AI bullcrap and a ton of hollow marketing / corporate speak, surely had their fill with the latest Unite.

I was going to watch the keynote after work and hope it restored hope in Unity, because I want it to do well

  21. I'm sorry for your loss. :D It's still worth the watch. It is a masterclass in empty PR and marketing talk.

I just learned that Subsurface Scattering is now in URP... I just got home from a night out with the missus. They need to stop the marketing talk

  23. @BenjiM_Unity or @superpig do either of you know if the rest of the Unite will be on YouTube any time soon? The keynote was underwhelming for an engineer, maybe the roadmap session would help understanding things.

I believe the plan is to add the sessions to this playlist over the coming weeks.
