    Where is TOS hardening?

Edit: Missed the previous announcement on it. Mods, feel free to remove.

Oh, the flew under my radar. Based on your wording, are there issues with the new TOS? Is it more robust than the previous terms (after the Improbable fiasco) that ostensibly hardened the TOS but really left enough wiggle room for Unity to attempt the rug pull?

We’re getting off topic, but: my opinion is that there is nothing they can put it the TOS that they can’t take back, so any “hardening” is performative.

Any roadmap for 2024? All things mentioned in unite were in the roadmap for 2022/2023. Will we be getting SDFGI or similar tech for global illumination? Or we still stuck with baking for the next 5 or more years?

Unity 2023 was scheduled to release at the end of 2024, they're only talking about 2023 cause thats basically unity 6.

But that's features that are already released, if not fully, least in alpha/beta. Isn't there anything else they will be doing next year, besides improving on these features? Seems like engine development is pretty much halted compared to how much updates we got in the past.

Considering the big reason for this lengthier schedule for a release is coexistence, and most of the inprogress work seems foundational. I personally think most of what we'll see is HDRP features ported to URP thanks to their foundations being more similar.

So hopefully the sky, water features, realistic lighting values, DLSS, etc. just with added mobile compatible stuff like how APV now works with vertext colors. Only other stuff i've heard of is animation is getting a rewrite, but no idea if thats planned for unity 6.

They're not talking much about incomplete features for now.
