We're not likely to release more it's typically a very set number of places we have available.

If anyone has a Boston Unite 2015 training day ticket and can't make it, let me know; I'd buy it off of you.

Do we start voting thread to help it happen? You all put up with enough that a trip would be a nice reward. Spring in Melbourne is nice

Well I just got a chance to finally book my flight and hotel (I bought my Unite ticket the first day they went on sale).

Yikes!!! That was expensive. Were the hotel conference rates really that much cheaper?

Between the flight + hotel + event + misc expenses, I could have just as easily cancelled my Unity Pro subscription and bought Pro perpetual licenses (Desktop, iOS AND Android).

I'd like to start attending Unite on a yearly basis. Please, next year, choose a part of town where the hotels are cheaper.

Or, better yet, come to Toronto! I'll buy hamburgers for the entire Unity Team!

I assume it might have been cheaper if you had booked everything else when you booked your Unite ticket; or sooner than 2ish weeks before the event! :D

Back then, they didn't have hotels listed. The last few months I've been too caught up with a major project to look into it until now.

Were the group rates that much cheaper?

On July 31, I posted: "When I called The Midtown on Monday, they said the Unity block ($169/night) was sold out. They quoted me $279/night." I went with another hotel on the list for $229/night. I probably could've found something cheaper through airbnb.

I know this is a late reply. You didn't miss out on the Midtown. It wasn't worth the $169 rate -- no AC (at least in my room), smells in the hallway of just old hotel... basically it was a bed and a shower, and not much more. Also bits of other peoples hair and stuff on the floor -- never walk without shoes on :)

Maybe next year I'll be rich enough to go for the normal brand-name hotels!!

I ended up staying at the Boston Park Plaza. Way way way overpriced. Big room with a comically small bathroom. They charged someone else's restaurant meal to my room. Took the charge off when I checked out. Then snuck the charge onto my credit card two days later. It was clean though.

Unite was awesome and Boston is a very nice city with friendly people (I love the native accent too). Speaking with other people I met that week (not just at the conference), they all commented that Boston seemed like an expensive city to live in.

My top suggestions for Unite next year are Toronto and Las Vegas.
