Unite 2014?

    Has anyone heard whether or not there is going to be a Unite conference for 2014 - I've searched high and low and found nothing on this.

    There will be a number of Unites, just like in 2013. If you actually want to know the locations and dates, well, I've not heard those, yet.

    Thanks Graham - I just wanted to know if there was actually going to be any this year since I thought there would have been some indication on the site that it was maybe planned for just not scheduled. Sounds like you think there will be something...

    Yeah, if these are going to start happening at similar times to last year - Nordic Game is in May, so if there's going to be a Unite Nordic like last year then we've only got a couple of months to book flights and stuff...

    I really would like more of an advance notice as this stuff can take me a while to prepare for. Even if a venue isn't booked knowing the city and rough times would help a lot.

    I'd be pretty surprised if at least some venues aren't booked, as Unite is getting big and big venues usually have to be booked quite a while in advance. GDC book the Moscone about 5 years ahead, and announce the dates for the following year's GDC pretty much as soon as the previous one has finished.

    So yeah, I'd wager they already know exactly where and when (some) of the Unites this year will be happening... they're just not telling us yet...

    I emailed them to ask about hotels - they're organizing some kind of deal but it's not quite ready to announce yet.

    I know from previous events at the main WSCC that there's a ton of hotels nearby - Marion Oliver McCaw Hall is a bit of a ways away from WSCC but not too far and there's trams and stuff.

    The thing I never understood to the Unite is why there is a camera recording all session in each room and never got any of those videos over the web.
    The last year, the Tokyo-Unite was awesome, I learned a lot of things, but was stupid to wait the video on internet and I asked weeks.

    I am saying that because there was 3 room with a schedule. Then wasn't able to come in each meeting and sometime 2 interesting in 2 differents room was running to the same.

    But anyway, it was a good experience and hope I'll go one more time this year.
    Very good to meet more Unity-user too.

    Wow! Unite Japan was about 100 bucks last year. This year it is almost 200 bucks. I went last year but I can't afford it this year.

    Its not a Unite, but there is a community-organised Unity mini-conference taking place at UKIE HQ, in London, on September 18th.

    A mix of speakers from Unity (Ill most likely be doing a talk) and game developers, talking about their projects.

    £10, and it goes to charity!
