Unite 2010 is upon us!

Every year Unite is the event that the whole growing company looks forwards to, crunches to make awesome, and finally gathers at – this is literally the only time every year that brings together everyone from our 5 offices and some 7 satellite locations.

This year's Unite 2010 is less than two days away, and I can’t wait to see those of you who’re attending in Montreal! This will be our biggest and baddest conference so far, with some 600 of the coolest people from the Unity universe coming together for the usual three intense days of learning, sharing, and partying (in awesome Montreal, but that's secondary).

We're all but sold out, but we've worked hard to expand capacity, so you can still make it if you hurry – and don't miss the sweet hotel deal too! More info and booking here.

The program contains over 25 sessions with over 50 speakers, including some of our top engineers and community experts; the Unity Awards will feature some of the best content created with Unity; the business speed dating aims to connect developers and opportunities; and much more! And of course, there will be a huge big party Thursday night!

I really wish I could have made it to Unite this year. I'm happy to hear that you're streaming the keynote speech though. Over the last few years I've really been getting excited about how interactive media can play a role in education. So it will be quite interesting to hear what Jesse has to say!

Just so I have a solid reference point, what time will the keynote be if I am in the UK?

GMT- 5 - I'm not sure what thats means exactly? Does it mean minus 5 hours or 5:00 pm ?

the mail that was sent mentioned 16:00 CET -> GMT+1 (they had a typo, saying GST+1) -> 15:00 over on the isle of fog

and GMT-5 means really that: Greenwich Main Time - 5 hours

 

Could someone clarify when the exact time is?

Sadly, Greenwich Mean Time on its own is not useful as a reference. If you see my meaning? What is the reference from which I minus 5 hours? Lol - not helping I'm afraid, but thanks for the effort - at least you replied!

Can someone please just state the time it will occur with a sensible reference, so something like this:

If you were in the UK it will be a XX pm.

Haha, I had the same issue, Peter. I took the iPhone's world clock and added Montreal to see when there is 10 am.

P.S. And my iPhone says 2:43 left until 10am in Montreal, so that's 16:00 in germany.

Hm ... I think usually the keynotes are starting a little late, aren't they? Would be nice to see something, though (even if it's just an empty room ;-) ). It's awesome we have the possibility to watch the keynote, though ... nice to at least participate in Unite 2010 on some level ;-)
