UnionPay in Unity Asset Store (2023)

Hello. Has someone tried to pay through UnionPay for purchases in the Asset Store? Does Asset Store accept payments from UnionPay? Thank you

In current situation, simply assume that asset store is gone. I would also suggest to start looking towards either an opensource engine like Godot (can't believe I'm saying it), or Epic Store, because in unlikely event you'd reach income threshold, it is highly likely you'd be unable to pay.

Alternatively you could try to convince Chinese to buy Unity Technologies. That will give the company incentive to implement union pay and other alternative methods.

By looks of it it doesn't.

It is very simple and easy to check.
- Log in to Asset Store,
- Add any asset to cart.
- Proceed to checkout.
- See payment options.
- Type in the card number and see if detects it.

You do, if you want to use union pay.

Unity accepts Visa/Mastercards and paypal. Supposedly it is also possible to pay through bank transaction, but that's "contact us" option, IIRC for situation when you want to spend over $1000 or something.
