It's kinda cool but not what I want. It happens when the overall strength of the wind zone is too high. Suggestions on how to fix it are very welcome!

Isn't this the answer right here? If it's too high and giving undesired results, then turn it down.

Or are there details you're not telling us, such as that these trees are behaving differently to other trees, or something?

(P.S. this might be better over in Editor and General Support?)

Thanks for the reply. Unfortunately, I want the wind to be high so your solution isn't helping in this case. Thanks for the tip on the Editor section I'll try that.

Trees at high winds behave differently.
You should set current value to low regardless.
But you should study how trees behaves on high winds. Including bending. Not just random leafs noise.

Right but "high" wind doesnt look like that. So clearly a high value isnt the answer.

If you dont like how default wind works, you will need to write your own shader to do this.

If you dont want to write your own shader, then your only options are to tweak the values you do have access to, which would point to lowering the wind.

There are other ways to simulate wind, you could have a lower power wind zone and then apply other effects on top to give a better simulation of wind (as the trunks would bend back and forth in actual high wind very differently to low wind)

Also its basically impossible to see whats going on in that video, maybe send a video that isnt all dark and dimmed next time :)

Nothing beats the palm trees in Cyberpunk 2077. Although this one looks like the womping willow... maybe the "stabby stabby willow".
