I seem to have some sort of problem since I can not get the Factory template to work.
I am pretty sure that I did get it to run earlier.

I tried starting new projects with both Unity 2019 and 2020.
Tried deleteing the Mars package and downloaded again.
Even uninstalled all versions of Unity and reinstalled.
Deleted the Unity files in Appdata.
    - Still got the same problem...

That is all I could think of.
Is it something else I can do?

    hello @dweeh,

could you elaborate more on how the Factory template does not work?; it doesnt load?, do you get console errors?.

Also, could you please mention which version of mars are you using, what OS are you running MARS and what platforms are you targeting?

    Hello @jmunozarUTech

    On Windows 10

Starting a new Unity project with 2019.4.16f1 - 3D template

    Importing the MarsUnityPackage 1.2.0
    I get 4 warnings
    upload_2020-12-16_8-11-44.png

Before starting the Factory Training Template in the Factory simulation environment I see a huge UI screen
    upload_2020-12-16_8-11-52.png

After pressing Start - I can see some UI objects
    upload_2020-12-16_8-12-5.png

When the image marker at the machine is detected all the UI are visible at once
    upload_2020-12-16_8-12-32.png

I tried on another project earlier to convert the materials to Universal RP and also manually switched some occlusion shader to some other occlusion since it was still pink.
I can not find it again
Can that have messed things up?

In this new project, I did not change any other settings - I just followed the instructions on the Getting Started page.
    https://docs.unity3d.com/Packages/com.unity.mars@1.2/manual/GettingStarted.html#installation.

    Hello @dweeh

Couple of things, Simulation view markers will match immediately if you are not in device view mode; hence all markers showing up.

If the UI is set to 2D, you will see that big giant UI thing in the environment and with regards to the pink shaders; you are correct it has to do with changing your materials to/from URP.

Ok... But the change to URP was in another project - should that affect all projects from that point?

It shouldnt; can you please post a screenshot of the inspector for those pink materials ?

Also, which version of Unity are you using in this case.

Can you also try downloading the package again for MARS and giving it a try on an empty project?.

I assume you are using MARS 1.2, correct?

I think I already tried to downloaded the Mars package again - but I will try that again just to make certain.

This new project is 2019.4.16f1 - 3D template

Oh - I think it was like this the first time I saw it too...
I did change it to some other occlusion shader then - but I guess that is not it then.

I think I might know what's your issue since you mentioned you are in the factory training template.(I thought the issue was with the factory environment).

To fix this you will need to reinstall the templates, not the MARS package. Could you try reinstalling the package?

    Yes - Mars 1.2
When I say that it used to work - that might have been with the old version of Unity Mars during my trial period.

Just press the "Import again"-button in Package Manager?

    Did that - no change.

Try removing the Sample templates first and click the "import again" button.

The sample templates should be located in Assets/Samples/Unity MARS/1.2.0 (or something among the same lines)/MARS Sample Templates
Remove the MARS Sample templates and try reimporting.

Quick thing; you are not in URP correct?

No, I used the ordinary 3D template.
I get the same result in URP though.

The warning about the AssetDatabase Refresh can not have anything to do with it? upload_2020-12-16_16-59-39.png

    Will delete and reimport

@dweeh also forgot to mention, to not show the UI issue, please set the select type and set it to Environment (Instead of Content as you have it) Screen Shot 2020-12-16 at 11.06.54 AM.png

    Good!, thats an improvement then :);

With regards to the pink colors. @dweeh, from what I can see here, those pink circles are arrows, those arrows should have the UI/Default shader, can you please change to it?

If that doesnt work, could you please tell me what is the name of the pink gameobjects?

Let us know how it goes :) Screen Shot 2020-12-16 at 11.16.11 AM.png

That did get rid of the pink dots.
It still does not work though.

What else is in the UseCaseContent folder?
Can it be that it is not included in the package?
or - did I just s**k at searching for it? :)

Still, I am checking with the team why that shader wasn't included in the first case.

    Just checking :
Did you interpret my earlier "Ok"-post like I meant that everything is working now?

or did you mean that you will check with someone if missing more stuff might be the cause?

The pink is gone - but the Factory training is still not running...

I asked the team to check on this and look if something is missing since its strange you didnt have that shader at the first place.

Could you please tell us what is not working specifically right now in the factory template?

When I start the simulation it looks like this:
    upload_2020-12-16_18-29-53.png

When the image target is scanned it looks like this:

    upload_2020-12-16_18-31-39.png

and nothing seems to be responding if I try to interact with it

I am not sure what I am supposed to do for it to move?

Could you tell us if this also happens in play mode; as in hitting play in the Unity Editor, not in the Simulation view.

Well - it does not really work - since I guess I can not get the Unit-E to follow...

But at least things are moving...

Should Unit-E follow where I look?

Bummer, And you don't get any errors in the console; correct?

Would you be able to share your project so we can look at your code? If so, please use the Unity Bug Reporter (Help > Report a bug...) to zip up the project and send it our way. A Google Drive link also works :).

Do bare in mind that this will take some time since some of the team members who created these templates are on PTO so responses might be slow until everyone gets back in the beginning of January

Does everyone trying out Mars get this problem?
