    Thanks again!!

So yes Uni2D is Unity3.5.7 and Unity4.X both free and pro compliant!
You will have access to tutorials and documentation on our dedicated website.

    Cheers!

Thought I would buy this before V2(and possible price increase)....but I cannot seem to find any proper documentation or walk through setup....
    Am I missing something...

yes there is a lack of documentation and tutorials. We have worked on this for the V2. You will have a dedicated website with tutorials (just one for all the basic at launch and more after) that will comes with the release.

    Hey,
I purchased Uni2D a couple of days ago.
How do I get access to the documentation website? It's asking me for username and password.

    Thanks!

Yes, I also just watched it.
I do not like the video going fast forward, as it is hard to see what function is being done or used.

Also let me know if you want any help with your spellchecking...(sp)

Playing with the new version. The move pivot point doesn't seem to be working for me...once modified it does not move to new location on model.

So been playing with this for the past 1 hour. Really great job....so awesome to see my master PSD elements come in and then throw in a dynamic physics object to bounce around.

@pixelsteam Please check the pivot option near the main navigation tool in the top left of the screen. $pivot.JPG
You need to have the option set to "Pivot" and not "Center"
And so happy to see you like Uni2D!

    Hi fellows Unity Developers!

First of all, we put our hands on Uni2D v2 a few hours ago now and it's really awesome! Congratulations guys! It correct many many bugs from the beta version! And great job with the tutorial video and presentation, it's amazing!

Just a quick question : We're currently trying what you showed in the presentation video, Sprite animation + Skeleton animation. But we aren't able to understand how it work. We simply wanted to animate our character with bones and make the face's sprite change depending the timeline; for instance when he hit with a sword he has to open the mouth. How can we do that? We tried a lot of different solution to make that work (such as putting many child under a bone and play with the hide/show of the material) but none of them was really easy and efficient.

PS: Is it possible on your Youtube video and website (uni2d-plugin.com) to make the link for samschronicles.com and witchlake.ch websites <a href> links? :)

+1 for the links of user project
It'll be really appreciated that you put the link to the other user projects that you featured in the v2 launch trailer ;)
For our link, it is http://fishartgame.com
:( Sorry, can't remember the others....

PS: and a head up that you should update the landing post of this thread, so new comers would see the new v2 directly ;)

    @witchlake and @paraself
Sorry I used the info you send us without checking if the links works... apologize :/
But for Fish all the links seems working (website and youtube) (could you tell me where if there is a pb)
But for @Witchlake there is a real problem with Witchlake sam's chronicle (missing http://) and witchlake web site not present.

@Witchlake You just have to do a sprite animation with all the states you want and read the corresponding seq. when the action occurs.
    @Paraself yes indeed!

Thanks again for using Uni2D and for your amazing work!

I have a question about the 2D skeletal animation and Physics.

Can the deformed sprites using a 2D skeleton be driven by physics?

@mpintar Yes, you can attaching bones to rigidbody, creating interaction on the skinned mesh

    hi,

I was wondering if I could do a ragdoll with your bone anim system, and in principal something like that can be achieved I guess (just tested for an arm right now) but the arm is connected to the shoulder with a character joint and has rigidbody and using gravity and defroms the sprites arm nicely. however the concave physics coller stays in place. Tested this with the beaver sample and it's the same...
For me it doesn't have to be pixel perfect so if the initial collision shape would just rotate with the bones that would be enough. but I guess it's one collision mesh you get not per bone.
would there be a ways to make more sprites and connect them to one big sprite where the skining works between the parts, like the tool smooth moves just with this awesome skinning feature...
    best,rob

With Skeletal Animation is there a way for the skeletal movements
to set animation keys so they can be manipulated on the timeline ?

I feel like a total newb, I got stuck working at the beging and been siting here for an hour+ trying to solve the problem.
Basicly take a look at the following picture:
    $help_with_colliders.png

I tried playing with both the ground collieders and the Player colliders, but noting seems to work...
Any help would be highly appreciated.

    Problem Solved
Should have massed with the physic a bit to get it done :)

    Hello,

You can download Shoebox http://renderhjs.net/shoebox/ (which is free/donationware and requires Adobe Air, also free) and using the Extract Sprites function you can recreate the sprites from the sprite sheet and then drop them into Uni2D to create a compatible sprite/spritesheet there!

    Works well

    Cheers

    Hi Bento-Studio!
First I want to say GREAT JOB! I'm currently switching from 2D Toolkit and so far I love your workflow much better.

However I have a few questions:
    1. 2D Toolkit does a really good job at keeping the atlases small by cutting the textures to tiny pieces (I am working on a 1080p game and some of the textures are HUGE). Do you apply a similar method in Uni2D? I couldn't find any mentioning of that.
    2. Are there any plans to add TextureToMesh and Grid types to animated sprites? This is also supported in 2D Toolkit. It really cuts off texture overlapping.
    3. If I use the same texture in different animations and point them to the same atlas, will Uni2D know to re-use the same texture?
    4. Something that 2D Toolkit doesn't have but I would LOVE to see happening in Uni2D is an automatic Solidify function to the generated atlas. It makes transparent textures look so much better.

    Thanks! Again great job!

I have a question - (I'm using PlayMaker if it matters) - I want to change the animation of the character when it moves right and change it back when it stops.

    How can I do that?

    @Darkplan

    Thanks!

    About your question:

    1. No we don't have yet a dice feature on the altases.

    2. Currently and for all the v2 cycle, you will not able to change the mesh nor the grid visual after having created an instance of a sprite.
If you want to mix animation to bones in grid mode only, you can always set the alpha cut off to zero and this will create a plain grid allowing you to use the grid without the visual limitation of the inital sprite.
Other solution you can swap sprites at run time with for each all the parameter you want.

    3. Yes the atlas system will not use two times the same texture in the same atlas even if you use two or more times the same texture.

    4. Could you be more specific about this feature?

    Thanks to you!!

You have to install and use the Playmaker actions package shipped with the plugin.
    1. Import Playmaker
    2. Import Uni2D_PlaymakerCustomActions (in the Uni2D package)
It will allow you to control main sprite animations functions and vertex color via Playmaker.

@gaiomed Our skin feature is GPU based. It's very great for overall performances but in a other hand, that's why we can't know and apply the deformation on the physics collider. With this method, we don't have any access on the deformed mesh. The only thing you can do at this point of Uni2D is to apply box or sphere collider on each bones/body part

    Thanks for the help!
I imported Uni2D_PlaymakerCustomActions and now I see the Uni2D/Animation and Uni2D/Sprite options in the actions menu.
But, I don't see a set animation action.
Which one should I choose to change the animation?

I haven't tried it yet, but you can probably use Uni2DSpriteAnimationSetFrameIndex to set the current frame to what you want?

But each animation is kept in a different object.
I have one animation for "Walking Left" and one animation for "Walking Right" how can I change the animation I'm currently showing to reflect the direction I'm walking to?

I'll try to ask this question in another way.

I have a GameObject with Uni 2DSprite (Script) component that has 2 animation clips inside it (Clip #0 and Clip #1).
When I start the game Clip #0 is active.
How do I change it to clip #1?
