    Hello everybody!

    Just wanted to show you our progress of character animation with UNI2D! Thanks to them!



    PS: Still got some editing issues but it finally works!

    Hey Bento, got a question for you. I've been eyeing Uni2D for making my 2D games, but the asset store comments section mentions more than once (as recent as March 18th) the issue of severe slow downs. Has this problem been fixed?

    Also, how close is the asset store version to the latest beta? I see you have been adding a lot of features and fixing many issues. Do I have to signup for the beta to take advantage of all of them?

    Finally, I'll ask this bluntly: is it reliable enough as is for contract work? I am about to acquire a new client and I don't want their first project experience with me to be negatively effected by the quirks of a new tool. Can I rely on Uni2D for professional work?

    Hi! Thanks for the kind words! But I don't think we have the time on making a great tutorial for the animation process but we can give you a few tips on PM or Skype!

    @taylank This issue is present in Unity4. Since we work on the new version we have fixed it in the new version. If you use Uni2Dv1, you can also find some patch with these files :

    Please save your project before applying them.

    Yes do you have to send a mail with your unity invoice number and we will register you to our beta program.
    For the last question, it's always a hard question more relative to the plugin integration. But remember that we provide source code with all of our plugin, the tool will not been affect by a new major Unity major migration.

    @billmuhh Please try to patch the same file mentionned in the top of this post.
    Do not forget to save your project before!

    @Bento-Studio will you be uploading any more tutorials to youtube? i would appreciate an in depth one on the animation.

    also Would it be possible to make a 2d physics rope from uni2d bones?

    I applied those two editor fix, and it become even worse, cant click anything in my editor, and it lagging badly.....

    can´t you put a hotfix patch to the asset store...?
    Just to fix this lag problem..

    i know you´re writing manual and that stuff - but priority 1 is a fixed and working asset - and not the manual.. we bought a tool that is not working correct right now - and wait months now - for an update ._.

    Main camera in the player, a script moving the player and the "layers" depending the player speed! A Normal parallaxe script!

    Any info about the Uni2D beta? I am extremely counting on it....by the way we are making a game intensively using Uni2D's collider gen. feature.

    Gosh you can't imagine how we are proud/happy to see what you did with uni2D...
    Your project is very poetical and really impressive.

    Like you, we can't wait to release the new version but we are always in the "final step".

    Happy to know that it's coming out. I've already integrated beta5 into the project. And it works fine for me at least editor is not lagging anymore;)

    Liked on FB. The environment is really amazing! Muck like it! The little bear is also great but a little bit weak in contrast with the background environment. :D

    I have been making a Tower Defense game with Uni2D. We are looking into adding the Pathfinding options to the game, and wanted to know if UNI2D has a built in Pathfinder. If not, which pathfinder do you guys recommend that works great with UNI2D.

    We do not forget you guys and always work on releasing soonly.

    @Badr, Uni2D has no built in Pathfind solution. And sorry but I have no idea about what could be the best pathfinder on the store.
    You could may be more specific about the expected behavior you want? This could give some idea to the other members for advising you on other tools.

    I´ve a problemw ith the animations..

    i added a two switch animations to my sprite, and in the pdf is written, i need to do
    Code (csharp):
    1. sprite.SpriteAnimation.Play(0)
    to play it

    I´ve no clue what "sprite" is.. so i tried
    Code (csharp):
    1. public Sprite name;
    2. name.SpriteAnimation.Play(0)
    Code (csharp):
    1. public GameObject name;
    2. name.SpriteAnimation.Play(0)
    Code (csharp):
    1. public Uni2DSprite name; //cause it´s given as autotext in Mono
    2. name.SpriteAnimation.Play(0)
    but everytime an error ._.
    how is this working?


    As second:
    The Library that is shown in the PDF - isn´t shown in my project ._.
    There´re only the 3 create buttons for Sprite, Physic Sprite and Animation..

    Hello,

    Just use the attribute name instead of the class name (spriteAnimation instead of SpriteAnimation)
    And you'll be fine ;)

    Code (csharp):
    1.     public Uni2DSprite name; //cause it´s given as autotext in Mono
    2.     name.spriteAnimation.Play(0)
    EDIT : We have check in the old documentation and there is some lines that have this error. Certainly due to a auto-correction. It will be fixed.

    When is the new version? We been hearing "soon" for 2 months already!!! Is there a due date? :D We are very anxious to get our hands on it!!!

    Hi there,
    I bought Uni2D 6 months ago and now I'm looking for this (awesome) beta version. I'm too excited to put my hands on it and I sent a mail to uni2dbeta@bento-studio.com, but I can't wait to see it. Does any of you guys have the URL for some version with Sprite Animation? What are you using for sprite animation meanwhile this new version doesn't come?

    What's up guys,
    I think the Uni2D cannot create prefabs. When I create a prefabs with any Uni2d sprite, my gameObject says :

    $Sem título.png

    My version is "Uni2D Beta #5 released"

    Bento Studio just asked me for a trailer of my work to put into the launch trailer of Uni2D v2. So I guess it's coming shortly. ;)

    Hi guys!

    I wanted to ask a question that annoys us for weeks now : It there any solution to a partial interpolated animated/ raster animated character for instance a character that is animated with bones but you can change his facial expression by selecting a sprite. Do you have a solution?

    Wow... that looks GREAT!!! I am very happy to hear that it's DONE!!! I have purchased and worked with NGUI and 2D Toolkit. Not saying they are bad products. They are not but not what I am looking for.

    Hey,

    I would like to know which is the best way to share Uni2d assets with a team. Currently I work
    in a small remote team and we are using Uni2d for animations. We would like to have an easy way for
    our animator just send the software engineers the Uni2d assets for implementation. Is that possible?

    I dont want to force my textures to 4096 true color when I import textures to my project that installed Uni2D. What can I do?
