Undocumented New Layout Group Property "Use Child Scale" in Unity 2019

    I've noticed that LayoutGroups have got a new property called "Use Child Scale" which is not documented anywhere. As far as I've tested several things, I can't see any effects of it.

    Has anyone noticed it too and looked for the functionality?

    You must have missed it but its actually quite easy to notice. What it does apparently is quite simple yet effective. If you have any scale on objects inside your layout, instead of using width/height of those objects for the alignment it uses {width/height} * {xScale/yScale| for its calculations so even scaled objects now should appear and behave correctly
