Hello everyone, this is my first posted project on the unity forums and the first project that I am serious about. This 3D survival game in it's current state was developed in about a day. However, this game is not even close to finished, this game is in alpha. I would like your feedback to help me recognize the things that are great so far or the things that need work. This project is mainly a learning experience for me and I am not a professional at unity. I have been learning unity on and off for a while and I hope to stay dedicated to unity. Feedback is much appreciated!

This is the game, you are a fish trying to survive as long as you can in a shark infested sea. There is a timer on the top of your screen that counts the minutes and seconds of your survival. You must avoid sea mines that detonate when you get close and kill you instantly. How long can you survive?

    -Background Music
    -Skarks

All the shark, and the sea mines have been made by me as well as some of the scripts. The background music is by Keven MacLeod from http://incompetech.com/ used under the Creative Commons License https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/3.0/.
    Thanks for reading!

OK - I played the game. It works as a minimum functioning game as it is, but there is a lot of work needed. I'll just give my impression and hope it will give you some thoughts about what can be improved/changed.

I'm not sure the first person view works really well. I read the post and when I played - I didn't feel like I was a fish at all. I felt like I was a person who could defy all normal physics and laws of being underwater. The controls - to me - feel really plain, fps view camera. Nothing special or particular to make me feel like I was a fish or I was under water.
I think - maybe changing to a 3rd person perspective and creating some resistance and angular curves to the turning might make the fish feeling a little more realistic.
The sharks moved - but there was no animation I could see. They are also flat shaped so that was a little - different looking.
The sharks never attacked or moved in an aggressive manner - but I did loose health when I touched the sharks. Adding some quality shark like animations to the sharks would really be cool to add feeling of tense dread and create a more eerie atmosphere.

There was also some weird boundaries that I ran into and instantly started loosing health. It really didn't make much sense.

I think adding a lot of floating/swirling particles would add to the feeling of being under water, and having additional creatures other than sharks and mines, like fish or creatures that are just there to add to the environment would really improve the visuals.

Watch the movie finding Nemo a couple times to get a real sense of underwater settings. Even if the characters are cartoony, Pixar did a lot of extra work to make the world underwater feel like it was an alien environment for us oxygen breathing land mammals.

Looking forward to your next iteration.
