Unable to use Unity!

I am having a problem with the Unity editor loading to a blank white window. This happens with new projects or old. It is totally unusable.

I have tried various versions of Unity: 20192.4f1 release version, 2019.3.0a5 Alpha, 2019.3.0b1 Beta. I even reinstalled the release version bringing it up to the latest version.

I have found information elsewhere on this forum that suggests the problem is caused by NordVPN. That can not be the case for me as I do not use any VPN!

I am using the latest version of my graphics drivers (nvidia GeForce version 436.15) and my Windows 10 Pro version is fully up to date with all updates.

What is going wrong here?
